888poker's $100k guaranteed deep stack challenge now on saturday
888poker's massively popular $100,000 guaranteed weekly Deep Stack Challenge tournament will now take place every Saturday at 8pm (GMT) from Saturday 4th April having been moved from it's Sunday spot. The tournament itself remains one of the hottest regular events in the industry, and the blind structure will include antes starting at level 6. The buy-in remains the same too at $130 + $10.
To highlight the change of days, 888poker have introduced some eye catching promotions during April, enabling customers to win free seats in the Saturday final, including:
- If any 888poker customer plays in five $20,000 guaranteed tournaments during any given week, they will automatically be given a free seat in the following $100,000 Deep Stack Challenge on Saturday.
- Any 888poker member who plays in all four $100,000 Deep Stack Challenge tournaments in April 2009 will win a free seat in the May 2nd $100,000 Deep Stack Challenge.
- Those players who participate in at least two of the four April 2009 $100,000 Deep Stack tournaments will also automatically receive a $1,000 reload bonus.
- Every player who plays in a $100,000 Deep Stack Challenge tournament during April will be eligible for a special $100,000 freeroll that will awards 10 free tickets to the next $100k tournament
The change of date for the event from Sunday to Saturday followed extensive customer feedback, with some 888poker members believing that the poker tournament market place had become overcrowded on a Sunday.
